Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in multitasking across various projects
- At least 2 years of experience using a ticketing system to track tasks
- A minimum of 2 years dedicated to vulnerability research
- Over 3 years of experience in generating and interpreting technical reports
- Familiarity with desktop tools like Ivanti or SCCM is a plus
- Experience in analyzing vulnerability notifications, such as CISA, and conducting crosswalk comparisons is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Patching Technician to coordinate the testing of emerging patches and document discovered vulnerabilities and known exploits
- Monitor non-Ivanti software titles for vulnerabilities and regularly check their websites for alerts and updates
- Develop and collaborate on various procedural guidelines and documentation aimed at enhancing the patching process
- Evaluate Federal software security notices and compare them to state software titles to address any identified vulnerabilities
- Engage with colleagues on both the same and other teams to integrate efforts and strengthen overall security posture
Description
We are a dynamic organization located in Madison, Wisconsin, looking to build a cohesive patching and testing program. This role is integral to assessing and refining our processes, particularly for manual patches. We offer a hybrid working model, with full onsite training for the first week and onsite presence required at least once per quarter for training.
