Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- 12+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, Performance Engineering, or Replication Engineering across various platforms, including Linux and Engineered systems
- Strong expertise in Golden Gate replication on Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Exadata
- Proven experience in hybrid database environments, encompassing both on-premises and public cloud resources
- Proficient in building, deploying, and migrating databases using AWS and Azure cloud technologies
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, including building, configuring, and debugging pipelines and automation
- Experience designing resilient Oracle database platforms and addressing RAC performance challenges
- Skilled in setting up alerts and monitoring using tools like Data Dog, OEM, and OTEL
- Strong background in production support and high availability database maintenance
- Proficient with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins
- Innovative problem solver with the ability to automate tasks using Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Java, or shell scripting
- Ability to assess and recommend top-tier tools and engineering best practices
Responsibilities
- Support and oversee all stages of testing leading to implementation
- Mentor and guide fellow engineers in technology practices
- Advocate technology solutions to business partners
- Serve as an on-call resource for organizational service and escalation needs
- Design proof-of-concept solutions to showcase optimal data engineering practices, emphasizing effective database utilization and performance
- Participate in code review sessions and unit testing while providing assistance with development or production issues
- Prioritize work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Define and uphold development standards and coding best practices within the team
- Conduct independent technical and functional analysis across multiple projects
- Create comprehensive documentation for various applications that support corporate initiatives
