Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field required
- 8+ years of overall systems or architecture experience
- Strong knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture
- Proficiency in multiple Cerner modules (e.g., Radiology, Emergency Department, Provider Documentation, etc.)
- Extensive experience with Health Connect interface engine
- Familiarity with HL7 v2.x message structures (ORM, ORU, RDE, ADT)
- Solid understanding of SFTP integrations
- API-based integration experience
- Experience with FHIR APIs
- Ability to document interface requirements and create data flow diagrams
- Capability to identify architectural risks and suggest mitigation strategies
- Excellent skills in translating clinical workflows into technical designs
- Familiarity with CCL, Discern Analytics, and Oracle Unified Analytics preferred
- Experience in migrating hospitals to Cerner and supporting acquisitions is a plus
- Strong analytical and communication skills, especially between clinical and technical teams
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Cerner Millennium architectural guidance
- Assist in discovery and high-level solution planning for Cerner projects
- Design and implement scalable solutions across various Cerner domains
- Support strategies for standardization across multiple hospitals
- Collaborate closely with domain experts, clinical staff, and IT partners
- Document and design interface and integration specifications
- Create architecture diagrams and data flow representations
- Identify potential architectural risks and recommend ways to mitigate them
Description
We are currently seeking a Systems Architect to enhance our Oracle Health and Cerner Millennium ecosystem across diverse clinical areas. This role is contract-based and allows for telecommuting, offering competitive hourly compensation between $70 - 90. Your expertise will focus on system design, integration, and standardization, working closely with clinical, technical, and business stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
