Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or masters degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or a related field is essential. Equivalent professional experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
- A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in business process analysis and requirements documentation, including independent facilitation with senior executives and subject matter experts.
- Strong proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools such as Visio.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating the intake of ideas or proposals and transforming them into documented demands within ServiceNow or comparable portfolio management tools.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in compiling business case materials, inclusive of ROI/TCO analyses, cost-benefit evaluations, and risk summaries.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams for collaboration and document handling; exposure to Power BI is advantageous.
- Understanding of how business requirements translate into technical specifications is mandatory.
- Possessing certifications like Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Owner (CSO), CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, PMP, ITIL is preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge between business offices and Information Technology to refine and document technology proposals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to convert strategic and operational needs into actionable requirements.
- Conduct detailed business needs assessments and support governance activities throughout the demand lifecycle.
- Work with clients to gather overarching requirements, estimate project costs, and document findings in line with departmental standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation summarizing business case elements such as return on investment, costs/savings, and risks.
- Prepare materials and presentations to aid funding decisions, ensuring clear communication among technical teams and department leadership.
- Categorize and prioritize demands based on type, urgency, complexity, and business impact using established criteria.
- Analyze demand patterns to identify trends and assess feasibility against technical capabilities.
- Conduct intake meetings with stakeholders and refine demand descriptions from submitted ideas, documenting objectives and initial risks.
- Maintain an up-to-date demand documentation and track work against demand tasks for accurate workload visibility.
