Requirements

Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in business or data analysis within the payments sector - Proven experience with Fiserv payment processor data - Extensive knowledge of Fiserv data fields, file structures, coded values, and transaction-level attributes - Strong understanding of Fiserv source data applications for business reporting, operational analysis, and KPI definition - Proficient in documenting field-level mappings, business rules, and functional logic for payment data environments - Skilled in interpreting processor-specific payment events and translating them into clear business definitions - Experienced in collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to clarify ambiguities in data and reporting - Strong expertise in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, and functional documentation - Capable of analyzing intricate source structures and explaining their usage and dependencies clearly - Preferred: Experience with Fiserv merchant, acquiring, card, settlement, authorization, or transaction reporting data - Preferred: Knowledge of KPI and metrics development in payment environments - Preferred: Familiarity with data modernization and cloud analytics initiatives involving Fiserv data - Preferred: Understanding of payment lifecycle concepts such as authorizations, captures, settlements, declines, and chargebacks - Preferred: Experience in client-facing advisory or implementation support roles

Responsibilities

- Act as the main subject matter expert for Fiserv payment processor data, providing insights into field-level interpretations and business implications - Leverage deep knowledge of Fiserv data elements, transaction attributes, and processor-specific logic - Analyze and document mappings from source data to business requirements for Fiserv data fields - Interpret and clarify the transaction lifecycle behavior specific to payment processors, including statuses and other relevant events - Lead the development and documentation of business rules, code translations, and field usage guidelines - Collaborate with the Data Architect to convert detailed Fiserv field logic into usable data structures and models - Identify and streamline ambiguous or inconsistently utilized Fiserv source fields - Define and document KPI logic based on Fiserv data, including inclusion/exclusion rules and assumptions - Conduct sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams to enhance understanding of field meanings and reporting objectives - Assist in issue triage throughout design, client implementation, validation, and user acceptance testing to determine the source of data-related issues - Ensure ongoing traceability across requirements, source fields, mappings, transformations, and KPIs - Contribute to documentation efforts, design reviews, knowledge sharing activities, and implementation guidance for client-led projects
