Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Scrum Master in software development projects.
- Strong comprehension of Agile principles, Scrum practices, and the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to function effectively in a remote and distributed team environment (onshore, nearshore, and offshore).
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex project environments.
- Experience in mentoring and skill enhancement of Agile teams.
- Proven ability to work with diverse teams and deliver releases punctually.
- Competence in managing dependencies between teams.
- Previous success in collaborating with clients for requirements and external vendors for development activities.
- Preferred: Experience in consulting or professional services with clients.
- Preferred: Understanding of other Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, SAFe, Scrum, FDD).
- Preferred: Technical background or familiarity with software development practices and technologies.
- Preferred: Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities
- Guide the team to produce high-quality, valuable increments of capability on schedule while aligning with business objectives.
- Collaborate with product owners to guarantee a clear understanding of the product backlog and project goals.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Assist in estimating and planning sprints and releases.
- Ensure adherence to Agile principles and Scrum practices within the team.
- Eliminate barriers and obstacles that may impede the teams progress.
- Monitor and communicate progress through metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts, developer metrics).
- Maintain open communication with stakeholders about progress and potential risks.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile methodologies and best practices.
- Understand the state of each team member and the overall team dynamics, providing transparency to the Program Lead about the Scrum Teams status.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.
Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Agile Delivery Lead/Scrum Master to join our consulting team in Durham, North Carolina. This contract position offers a competitive pay rate between $70 - $80 per hour, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. As an Agile Delivery Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our clients teams, driving adherence to Agile practices while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
