Requirements
Must:
- A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science is highly preferred.
- At least 10-15 years of progressive professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of CMMC requirements and principles of network security architecture, including topology and protocols.
- Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity planning, auditing, and management.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a sharp focus on detail.
- Experience in the defense manufacturing industry or similar sectors is strongly desired.
- Proven leadership skills with the capability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders across all organization levels.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of the cybersecurity strategy, acquiring and managing essential resources, including leadership backing, financial investment, and key security personnel, to support IT security objectives and minimize organizational risk.
- Provide senior management (e.g., CEO, CFO) with insights on risk exposure and security status, including updates on changes in requirements or technologies impacting cybersecurity.
- Recommend and coordinate the review and approval of security policies.
- Ensure the effective implementation of security requirements and relevant IT policies that align with the organizations mission and objectives.
- Facilitate necessary compliance actions to adhere to security configuration guidelines and conduct oversight of compliance activities.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of cybersecurity measures to ensure they meet the desired protection standards.
- Align information technology (IT) security priorities and strategies, overseeing the information security budget, staffing, and contracting processes.
- Promote the importance of IT security across all organizational levels and among stakeholders.
