Requirements
Must:
- I have experience in providing support for PCs and Microsoft Office productivity applications.
- I am familiar with cloud solutions such as Google Apps, Office 365, and MS Azure.
- I possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
- I understand TCP/IP, the OSI 7-layer model, and basic network routing and switching technologies, with experience troubleshooting WANs, LANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
- I hold a California driver’s license and can be covered under the organization-sponsored vehicle insurance program.
- I can manage multiple priorities effectively.
- I demonstrate a self-motivated attitude in the workplace.
- I have a two-year technical degree or two years of related experience.
- Having IT professional certifications and training is a plus.
Responsibilities
- I provide both remote and onsite helpdesk services to our clients' staff at RVS Technology Group.
- I am responsible for installing, configuring, organizing, properly inventorying, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, printers, and network equipment.
- I troubleshoot, test, replace, or reorganize network closets and wiring.
- I set up workstations for new employees and upgrade existing ones.
- I diagnose and respond promptly to end-user service issues and requests.
- I provide technical support across the company.
- I document issue resolutions using the helpdesk ticketing system.
- I repair and replace equipment as necessary.
- I maintain an inventory of all hardware and software resources according to RVS Technology Group standards.
- I support and ensure compliance with RVS Technology Group's IT security objectives.
- I document and share my knowledge with other IT team members.
- I deliver exceptional service that meets SLA and XLA delivery standards.
- I analyze and effectively resolve problems in a timely and organized manner, following best practices and procedures.
- I communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical individuals.
- I work collaboratively within a team environment.
- I maintain cleanliness, organization, labeling, and proper maintenance of our clients’ hardware IT assets, network equipment, and cabling at their locations.
Description
In addition to my core responsibilities, I am tasked with time and expense reporting, entering activities in the ticketing system, and ensuring both time records and trouble ticket updates meet the organization's high standards. I comply with company policies for managing service requests and troubleshoot software and hardware online to maintain performance and system uptime. I collaborate with more experienced technicians to address issues with hardware, network equipment, wiring, and software on LAN/WAN systems. I assist customers and fellow RVS Technology Group technicians in resolving computer hardware and software problems. I also support IT Support Specialists, Systems Administrators, or Systems Engineers with tasks related to installation and IT asset management in accordance with established company standards. Additionally, I ensure field efficiency by utilizing available resources such as technical support, installation manuals, online help systems, documented SOPs, and my co-workers’ expertise. I enter my time and expenses in ConnectWise as they occur and participate in an on-call rotation that includes extended and weekend hours, performing on-call duties per company policy and undertaking support and technical tasks as assigned by management. Sharing my experience and knowledge with my team members to boost effectiveness and suggest improved problem-solving methods is also part of my role. Other support and technical duties may be assigned by management as needed. This is a full-time position, with expected hours ranging from 40 to 45 per week. The pay rate is between $25.00 - $30.00 per hour and includes benefits such as a 401(k), flexible schedule, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan. Work is conducted in person at our facility.
