Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in a startup environment with a dynamic role
- Familiarity with managing or coordinating engineers in a distributed team
- Daily use of AI tools to enhance productivity and a positive outlook towards AI advancements
- Full-stack development capabilities with experience building features end-to-end
- An instinct for effective processes without becoming reliant on them
- Strong drive and action-oriented mindset
- Excellent written communication skills for clear ticketing and updates
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with marketplace or two-sided platform products
- Knowledge of our tech stack: Next.js, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, Stripe Connect
- Background in the service industry or mobile tech tools
- Prior collaboration with a PM where you led engineering while they focused on product
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the engineering team on a day-to-day basis
- Facilitate daily standups, remove obstacles for developers, and ensure transparency across all product lines
- Conduct code reviews, uphold code standards, and ensure the team delivers quality work
- Serve as the go-to person for developers rather than the CPTO
- Collaborate with the CPTO to transform strategy and initial ideas into well-defined tickets
- Maintain the health of the backlog across all platforms including marketplace and portal support
- Develop just enough structure for effective execution without excessive oversight
- Proactively identify and escalate issues to the appropriate parties
- Write and deploy production-level code using technologies across the stack
- Engage directly to expedite critical tasks when necessary
- Use AI tools to boost your output and support the teams efficiency
- Assist all team members, including non-technical contributors, in maximizing their use of AI tools
- Recognize and explore opportunities for integrating AI features into our product
