IT Support Specialist

- I handle routine issues independently and provide remote assistance to other facilities within my management territory as part of my daily responsibilities. - I serve as a mentor to peers by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on assignments. - My tasks involve building, installing, and maintaining endpoints (PCs and MACs) following IT standards, while also ensuring routine maintenance for installed endpoints on Windows and MAC systems. - I prioritize issues based on severity, urgency, and business impact, tracking all open incidents until they are resolved. If necessary, I escalate complex technical problems to higher-level support or other enterprise support teams. - I collaborate with enterprise support teams and external vendors to address problems and resolve issues. - My role includes managing the local LAN architecture in compliance with enterprise standards and coordinating changes in IT assets and supporting infrastructure through established change management processes. - I assist with supporting wireless networks, servers, and peripherals related to desktop infrastructure, ensuring compliance with department standards. - I take ownership of issues, performing problem analysis to implement appropriate solutions and restore service to customers as quickly as possible. I also identify possible changes and system enhancements to propose to management for consideration and implementation. - I ensure that my work complies with agreed service levels and departmental and corporate policies while documenting all incidents and changes in the RRD ITSM toolset. - I maintain and manage the asset record inventory throughout the lifecycle of endpoints and support regular audits of IT assets and processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. - I undertake other related responsibilities and contribute to special projects as assigned.
