Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Over 8 years of relevant technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and methodologies
- At least 4 years of experience managing large-scale enterprise/global networks in a fast-paced and varied environment
- Familiarity with the DoD Architecture Framework and other essential DoD network architecture and strategic planning guidelines
- Proficient with Juniper switches, routers, and firewalls (MX, EX, SRX devices) as well as cryptographic devices (KG-175G/X, KG-245A/X)
- Experience utilizing network analysis tools such as HP/Microfocus Network Automation, Network Node Manager, Juniper Secure Analytics, Infoblox, and Riverbed
- Background in Juniper firewall/VPN equipment (SRX series)
- Knowledgeable in supporting IP services linked to NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS (IPv4, VPN, IPv6, Multicast, QOS, SDN, SNMP, VOIP, VTC, etc.)
- Proficient with OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSVP/LDP L2/3VPNs, VRFs, IKE/IPSec, GRE tunnels, MTU, FTP, Import/Export policies
- Certification: IAT II
- Preferred: Masters degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Preferred: Certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, CISCO CCNP, CCVP, CCNA, or CCDP (or equivalent)
- Preferred: ITIL v3 Foundations
- Preferred: ISC2 CISSP
- Preferred: CompTIA Security +
Responsibilities
- Lead system maintenance, monitoring, and installation across various WAN/LAN environments with diverse specializations, platforms, and technologies
- Collaborate on researching and implementing enterprise-level network solutions and enhancements that align with customer business and mission objectives
- Diagnose and rectify network media and component issues
- Assess and track the health and functionality of the network, including hardware and management software
- Create and uphold a strategic roadmap for capabilities, operations, and technologies
- Aid in developing and executing test plans and documentation related to all network configuration upgrades, additions, or revisions for customer consent prior to implementation
- Facilitate network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization initiatives to achieve performance and availability targets
- Evaluate and present findings on new and emerging network communication technologies to elevate network capacity, performance, and reliability
- Recommend enhancements or upgrades to address performance standards and adhere to industry best practices
- Adhere to all customer network security protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with government policies
- Represent customer requirements during technical discussions with other government entities
- Conduct site surveys for new installations and technology updates
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot satellite communication apparatus
- Create and sustain network architecture diagrams
