Requirements
Must:
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory as only U.S. citizens qualify for a security clearance.
- An active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically expected.
- At least two years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Java programming languages is essential.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and systems software design.
- Understanding of assembly language, structured programming, and object-oriented design concepts.
- Knowledge of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) is desirable.
- Awareness of statistical and numerical methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the requirements gathering, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software and application software.
- Contribute to the creation of new tools or enhancements for existing applications and systems.
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document reliable software solutions.
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering professionals.
- Address problems with clearly defined scope, schedule, and objectives.
- Adhere to established development practices to maintain software product configuration management.
- Be prepared to obtain necessary program access as required.
