Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a solid history of converting business processes and their needs into technical specifications
- Over 8 years of experience in gathering business requirements and crafting detailed technical design documents in collaboration with application and solution architects
- Proficiency in evaluating technical designs for thoroughness, accuracy, and adherence to quality benchmarks; extensive experience in user-centered design solutions
- Familiarity with contemporary software development practices, including Agile, DevOps, and modern programming languages and frameworks
- Strong analytical abilities to assess intricate business challenges, propose effective solutions, and make informed decisions under pressure
- Competence in process modeling tools for creating flowcharts, data models, and business process diagrams
- Understanding of industry standards, including legacy, core, and emerging technologies, alongside business process mapping and re-engineering techniques
- Capability to effectively communicate with both technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure a mutual understanding of business needs and technical capabilities
- Substantial experience in Agile or Hybrid frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), converting business requirements into user stories for IT development teams, with knowledge of other SDLC methodologies like Waterfall
- Comprehensive knowledge of how software applications integrate with enterprise systems and databases, facilitating the development of cohesive and scalable solutions
- Awareness of IT infrastructure, including cloud technologies, APIs, middleware, and other technical factors influencing software development decisions
- Ability to pinpoint deficiencies in existing software solutions and devise strategies that fulfill business needs, whether through the addition of new features, improved integration of third-party applications, or enhancements to legacy systems
- Skill in distilling complex business requirements into manageable tasks for development teams while acknowledging technical constraints and limitations
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels to ensure alignment on objectives, effectively translating intricate technical concepts into straightforward, business-friendly language for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Facilitate discussions with developers and architects to merge business requirements with technical possibilities, ensuring appropriate solutions are carried out
- Work closely with development, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams to guarantee a clear understanding of business needs, aligning technical solutions, and ensuring timely software delivery within established scope
- Analyze raw data sourced by the project team, applying relevant tools and techniques to glean insightful information that drives decision-making
- Evaluate the choice between developing a custom solution or utilizing off-the-shelf software based on business requirements and technical feasibility
- Determine when it is crucial to modernize legacy systems, integrate existing solutions, or develop new applications, taking into account business context and technological landscape
- Steer initiatives by managing cross-functional teams, ensuring successful project completions within timelines and scopes, while mentoring junior Business Analysts through sharing best practices and providing guidance for their professional development and success
