Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Health, Life Sciences, or a comparable field
- Over 8 years of professional experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a similar IT position
- Understanding of public health data systems and reporting standards
- More than 8 years of experience in developing and implementing test plans and test cases
- Proven experience supporting Newborn Screening initiatives and Environmental Health
- Extensive experience with requirements gathering and documentation for over 8 years
- More than 8 years in process mapping and analysis of workflows
- At least 8 years of experience in data analysis and troubleshooting
- Over 8 years of experience planning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of data integration standards, including HL7 and APIs
Responsibilities
- Direct requirements gathering sessions with program staff related to Newborn Screening and Environmental Health
- Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Perform gap analysis and propose system upgrades
- Support and enhance Newborn Screening applications, including specimen tracking, results reporting, and follow-up
- Assist in improving Environmental Health systems involving sample tracking, chain of custody, and laboratory reporting
- Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to troubleshoot defects and implement enhancements
- Analyze and document comprehensive end-to-end workflows
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) initiatives
- Develop testing plans and scripts
- Coordinate testing efforts with stakeholders
- Create training materials and facilitate user training sessions
