Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (3K and 5K series) managed through Panorama.
- Ability to create and manage Security and NAT policies effectively.
- Proficient in managing high availability (HA) configurations for firewalls.
- Experience supporting HA setups with multiple virtual firewalls.
- Strong command of CLI for troubleshooting and collecting performance data.
- Capable of executing PAN-OS upgrades on both HA firewalls and Panorama management consoles (at least two upgrade cycles completed).
- Skilled in administering and troubleshooting GlobalProtect VPN environments.
- Proficient in managing IPSEC VPN tunnels to WAN and third-party vendors.
- Familiarity with mixed-vendor environments, including Cisco and Cradlepoint devices.
- Understanding of BGP for configuring VPN tunnels.
- Experience with Palo Alto dedicated log collectors.
- Knowledge of utilizing firewall templates and template stacks in Panorama.
- Integration of User-ID with Active Directory and RADIUS.
- Implementation of multi-factor authentication using Azure.
- Management and lifecycle of SSL certificates on Palo Alto firewalls.
- Configuration and oversight of External Dynamic Lists.
- Ability to leverage firewall logs to guide and automate policy decisions.
- Effective application of TAG objects beyond simple documentation and identification.
- Experienced in collaborating directly with Palo Alto Support to troubleshoot platform issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Palo Alto firewall systems and Panorama configurations on-site.
- Develop and maintain Security and NAT policies to ensure robust network security.
- Oversee the high availability of firewall configurations and ensure operational stability.
- Support and maintain multiple virtual firewalls in a high availability environment.
- Utilize CLI tools to troubleshoot incidents and gather performance metrics.
- Perform regular PAN-OS upgrades and manage changes to HA environments.
- Administer GlobalProtect and IPSEC VPN environments, ensuring secure connectivity.
- Troubleshoot mixed-vendor network issues involving Cisco and Cradlepoint devices.
- Configure and support VPN tunnels utilizing BGP as needed.
- Utilize Palo Alto log collectors for analysis and reporting.
- Implement and manage firewall templates and stacks using Panorama effectively.
- Ensure successful integration of User-ID with Active Directory and RADIUS systems.
- Oversee the implementation of Azure-based multi-factor authentication solutions.
- Manage SSL certificate lifecycles for firewalls.
- Configure External Dynamic Lists for dynamic policy management.
