Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in facility maintenance
- Previous management experience is preferred
- Proficient in plumbing, electrical work, painting, carpentry, general repairs, and landscape maintenance
- Experience in senior living or healthcare settings is preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to re-prioritize tasks based on the changing needs of residents and the community
- Must be able to read, write, and converse in English to effectively communicate with residents, guests, and team members
- Basic computer skills are required
- Must comply with all health-related and/or food-handling regulations set by local and state authorities
- Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid credentials
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing vacant units for residents, including painting, carpet maintenance, and general repairs
- Support routine maintenance and repairs of all common areas and grounds throughout the community
- Complete assigned daily work orders for minor repairs in resident apartments promptly and professionally
- Assist with the upkeep of community vehicles
- Collaborate with Life Engagement and Community Relations departments during setup and cleanup of special events, parties, and marketing activities
- Provide mentorship and training to junior maintenance staff
