Requirements
Must:
- At least 1 year of practical experience in data center environments
- Demonstrated expertise in Cat6 and fiber optic cable installation (pre-terminated preferred)
- Knowledge of LC and MPO connectors
- Familiarity with telecom and data network infrastructures
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are advantageous
- Possession of basic hand tools and necessary personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to delivering quality work
- Availability to travel to various job sites throughout Nevada as needed
Responsibilities
- Install Cat6 network cabling and pre-terminated fiber optic cables in data center settings
- Utilize both LC and MPO fiber connectors for optimal connectivity
- Properly manage and organize cables through effective wire management techniques, such as using cable trays and ladder racks
- Rack and stack network switches, servers, and additional data center equipment
- Ensure all cables and components are precisely labeled for thorough documentation and organization
- Read and interpret data center layouts, network diagrams, and technical schematics
- Guarantee that all tasks comply with industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety
