Requirements
Must:
- 4-7 years of experience in network engineering, with practical expertise in Cisco, Meraki, and Azure networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VNets, etc.)
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
- Familiarity with network security best practices, including firewall configurations, VPNs, and access control in both on-premises and cloud settings
- Proficient in network management and monitoring tools (e.g., ThousandEyes, Cisco Prime, Meraki Dashboard, SolarWinds, Azure Network Watcher, etc.)
- Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities in both on-premises and Azure network environments
- Experience with Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks (VNets), VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure Firewall
- CCNA or Meraki certification preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of our network systems
- Ensure high availability and performance across our on-premises and Azure environments
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve network issues
- Implement network security measures to protect against vulnerabilities
- Utilize network management and monitoring tools to maintain system efficiency
- Provide support for both on-premises and cloud network infrastructure
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to enhance our network capabilities
Description
We are excited to announce a long-term engagement opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer position located onsite in NYC-midtown, requiring a presence in the office five days a week. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in Cisco, Meraki, and Azure networking technologies to contribute to a dynamic team. We offer competitive compensation ranging from $70.00 to $80.00 per hour, along with a collaborative work environment where your skills and contributions will be valued.
