Requirements
Must:
- Experience with IBM z/TPF Operating Systems, including installation, customization, performance tuning, and maintenance
- Knowledge of hardware and software related to the IRS z/TPF and SACS processing environments
- Expertise in the z/VM Operating System
- Recent knowledge of TCP/IP and MQSeries
- Proficiency in IBM programming languages: High-Level Assembler, C, C++, and COBOL
- Experience with the TPF Control Program, including applying Program Update Tape (PUT), assembling, linking, and installing new images
- Recent experience in system generation, recoup, and capture/restore
- Ability to create and maintain ECC-specific procedures and checklists while adhering to corporate security policies
- Experience assisting with IBM zSeries mainframes and hardware/software upgrades mandated by the government
- Must be a US citizen or possess a 3-year green card
- Must pass a background check for public trust and tax compliance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting

Responsibilities
- Provide z/TPF technical support, problem resolution, and remote training for computing centers
- Work with all z/TPF hardware and software within the IRS z/TPF and SACS processing environments, utilizing specialization in the z/VM Operating System
- Apply recent knowledge of TCP/IP and MQSeries in day-to-day operations
- Utilize IBM programming languages, including High-Level Assembler, C, C++, and COBOL
- Support the TPF Control Program, including Program Update Tape (PUT) applications, image assembly, linking, and installation
- Demonstrate recent capability in system generation, recoup operations, and capture/restore processes
- Develop and maintain ECC-specific procedures and checklists, ensuring compliance with corporate security standards
- Support IBM zSeries mainframes alongside any additional hardware or software upgrades required by the government for the z/TPF environment
