I am seeking a highly driven individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to client service and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities, along with the capacity to maintain a professional demeanor at all times. This person should have a robust background in networking design and experience implementing these designs in live environments. A deep understanding of network protocols, encryption, and architectures that support IP-based systems (such as video, access control, and intrusion detection) is essential, particularly in high-security applications that demand significant resiliency and hardening. Proficiency in ensuring projects align with industry standards and compliance guidelines is vital, and familiarity with government physical security standards and technical guidelines would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will require you to provide system design and engineering support for our Sales team, as well as implementation and deployment assistance for Field Services. You will help prepare responses to Requests for Quotations, Bid and Proposal submissions, and drawing packages that include the development of technical content like system block diagrams and interconnection drawings. Participation in site surveys and collaboration with client points of contact will be crucial, ensuring our submission packages meet or exceed all specified requirements. I expect you to generate network designs and diagrams, maintain compliance with relevant codes and safety standards, and develop Statements of Work based on project descriptions and site survey insights. Other tasks may include creating project Bills of Materials, developing subcontracts for necessary services, and utilizing PSG-standard equipment configurations for system installations and maintenance. You will also coordinate with Operations to keep part number lists updated and advise the team on new requirements affecting our business. Documenting QA issues, tracking patterns, and offering recommendations for improvement will also fall under your purview.
Description
This full-time position offers a starting salary of $80,000 annually and includes a comprehensive benefits package featuring a 401(k) plan (with matching), dental and health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision coverage. You should expect to travel up to 30% of the time, possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, and pass a background investigation for government site access. Maintaining a current U.S. passport and being eligible for a minimum SECRET security clearance, if required, are also necessary. Educationally, I prefer candidates with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related technical field, or those who have 7+ years of demonstrated successful experience in this technical area. Desired certifications include CCNA Security, CCDE, CCIE, CCNP Security, CISSP, CompTIA Linux+, and CompTIA Security+.
