Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, or mechatronics engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.
- Over 10 years of industry experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Linux infrastructures, databases, and programming or scripting languages.
- Significant experience in system architecture and network design.
- Demonstrated ability to create strategic system architecture plans utilizing UML/SysML.
- Proficiency with *nix environments, focusing on Unix/Linux platforms as functional embedded systems.
- Expertise in developing highly efficient embedded systems.
- History of identifying, analyzing, and resolving system issues effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in researching technology, trends, standards, and products.
- A self-motivated individual who is ready to undertake various tasks essential for system design, implementation, and testing.
- A proven ability to prioritize and execute under pressure.
- Capable of functioning well as part of a team, sometimes prioritizing collective outcomes over personal preferences.
Responsibilities
- I will be accountable for the design and execution of assigned software components.
- I will oversee the design and implementation of assigned product subsystem components, including user story development, defining system interfaces, executing system design tasks, testing, and approving user stories within the Agile team.
- I will design and deploy railway systems operating both domestically and internationally, which may require travel up to 25%.
- I will collaborate with the team to devise solutions for crucial technical challenges related to control systems.
- I will work with others to develop a vision for the platform architecture, create a roadmap for enhancing the current platform, and liaise directly with engineers for implementation.
- I will evaluate and assess the value of new technologies.
- I will collaborate closely with various engineering teams to ensure the deployment of practical and highly effective railway systems.
