Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Over 2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning
- Strong command of Python, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn
- Proficient in SQL and relational databases
- Solid grounding in statistics and probability concepts
- Experience creating and validating machine learning models including classification, regression, clustering, and neural networks
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI
- Background in handling large datasets
- Working knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure
- Awareness of MLOps tools including MLflow, Airflow, and Docker
- Ability to deploy models within various software development life cycle environments
- Knowledge of domain-specific issues in Criminal Justice Agencies is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and analytical thinking
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Competence in transforming complex results into actionable business insights
- Self-motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership
- Team-oriented and collaborative attitude
Responsibilities
- Assist in translating business challenges into data science problems and analytical solutions
- Gather, clean, and preprocess extensive structured and unstructured datasets
- Aid in the development, validation, and deployment of machine learning models
- Conduct statistical analyses and hypothesis testing
- Support the design and analysis of A/B testing experiments
- Help build predictive and prescriptive models
- Clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with data engineers on model production
- Monitor model performance and retrain as necessary
- Contribute to best practices in data science and maintain documentation
Description
