Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles involving Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking principles such as LAN, VPN, firewall management, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy is preferred.
- Understanding of software troubleshooting techniques for common desktop applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Ability to assist with hardware components including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse user base.
- Previous experience in customer service-centric technical support roles is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for desktop and laptop systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues pertaining to computer components and operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Assist users facing network connectivity challenges, including LAN, VPN, and firewall settings.
- Manage and resolve service requests utilizing ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy.
- Facilitate computer networking tasks involving LAN configuration, firewall management, and network security measures.
- Set up and maintain operating systems and applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Support remote access solutions and VPN configurations to ensure secure connectivity.
- Assist with the rollout of new hardware and software while performing consistent system updates.
- Document technical processes and solutions clearly for future reference.
- Communicate effectively with end-users to accurately diagnose issues and deliver prompt resolutions.
Description
We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide extensive technical assistance across our organization. In this role, you will address hardware and software issues, support our network infrastructure, and ensure the smooth functioning of IT services on multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset, delivering help desk support that prioritizes end-user satisfaction and operational efficiency. We offer a casual dress environment, dental care, on-site parking, and paid time off. This is an in-person, full-time position with a salary range of $55,667.74 to $65,152.15 per year.
