Must:
We are looking for candidates with 2 to 5 years of experience in professional software development, particularly with a focus on delivering AI-driven product features. You should have practical experience with one or more large language model platforms, such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex, or Bedrock. Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques and embeddings/vector stores—like pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Redis—is essential. You must be proficient in TypeScript and NodeJS, with knowledge of React being a plus; understanding Python would also be beneficial. Comfort with relational data models is required, and experience with Postgres is a plus. Additionally, we expect familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and a solid understanding of secure coding practices, secret management, and how to handle sensitive data. Understanding of cloud platforms, CI/CD, and monitoring tools would be advantageous. We seek someone who is product-oriented, able to iterate, and capable of balancing quality, cost, and the time to deliver value.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will build and deploy AI features utilizing existing services, such as Azure OpenAI and others. You will implement practical retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines over various internal data sources, including documents, SQL databases, and files. You will define evaluation metrics to measure output quality, latency, cost, and reliability while conducting A/B testing. It is essential to apply guardrails, redaction strategies, and best practices regarding data privacy, particularly for financial and personally identifiable information (PII). Collaborating with our team requires you to integrate with our technology stack, which includes TypeScript/NodeJS services and a React UI, while also considering API design and user experience. You will be adding tracing, logging, and metrics for AI calls, manage cost controls and fallbacks, and ensure that tests are written and code is reviewed while following secure coding protocols. Please note, this position emphasizes applied AI using existing tools and services rather than training deep learning models from scratch.
