Requirements
Must:
- 3–7+ years of experience in MS SQL Server administration within an enterprise setting.
- Demonstrated capability in supporting multi-site, distributed database environments.
- Practical experience with Azure SQL and hybrid database frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in T-SQL, execution plan assessment, and high availability/disaster recovery technologies (Always On).
- Skilled in managing a wide range of SQL Server versions from 2005 to the latest.
- Bonus: Experience with Oracle databases or relevant MS SQL certifications is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Oversee performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies for critical ERP and shop-floor systems.
- Manage and monitor MS SQL Server environments across a distributed network of 60 manufacturing sites.
- Design and uphold Always On configurations, clustering, and replication to guarantee uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Facilitate the transition and support of Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Establish and implement robust backup and disaster recovery plans, maintaining strict data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve performance issues and optimize T-SQL code.
- Administer SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS components to ensure full stack support.

This pivotal role encompasses ensuring the health, security, and performance of databases that support over 60 manufacturing sites, ranging from legacy SQL Server 2005 to modern Azure-based hybrid deployments.
