Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a relevant field
- Over 5 years of experience as a software engineer
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Django development with a strong grasp of object-oriented principles
- Expertise in automated testing, continuous delivery pipelines, and observability within Django solutions
- Familiarity with modern frameworks and libraries such as Django, htmx, React, or Vue
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
- Proven ability to integrate AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation to streamline the software development lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of system design principles, scaling strategies, and architectural considerations
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on elevating team performance through code review
- Proactive approach, sound technical judgment, and a team-oriented attitude
- Proficient in verbal and written English for effective communication
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and sustain full-stack features utilizing Django, Python, and PostgreSQL
- Take ownership of technically intricate tasks, from design through implementation, rollout, and ongoing support
- Create APIs, backend services, and user interfaces that foster fast and reliable product experiences
- Produce clean, well-tested, and high-performance code, emphasizing scalability and maintainability
- Investigate and resolve issues in the production environment
- Collaborate closely with engineering, management, sales, and design teams to strategize and deliver solutions
- Provide thoughtful feedback during code reviews to enhance clarity and quality
- Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude AI in development processes

This full-time role offers the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid setup, with the office located in Dedham, MA, where you would be required to come in 2-3 days per week.
