Requirements
Must:
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or a similar position
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, JavaScript (vanilla), Node.js, and Next.js
- Familiarity with Ubuntu/Linux and Windows environments
- Experience with GitHub and version control workflows
- Robust understanding of REST API design and integrations
- Ability to independently troubleshoot issues and propose solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the capability to manage priorities effectively
- Must be able to reliably commute to our office in Calgary, AB
Responsibilities
- Maintain, understand, and enhance existing internal codebases
- Develop new features leveraging PHP, JavaScript, MySQL/MariaDB, and Node.js/Next.js
- Build and enhance integrations with third-party platforms and APIs
- Design and implement RESTful APIs
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance
- Convert business requirements into practical technical solutions
- Reduce manual tasks through automation and improved system design
- Establish structure and documentation where necessary including workflows and tutorials
- Manage tasks, priorities, and deadlines autonomously
