Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in a help desk or technical support role
- Extensive technical knowledge of various operating systems, databases, and software
- Strong understanding of both hardware and software computer systems, as well as networks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical staff
Responsibilities
- Logging and responding to all help desk calls promptly and accurately, ensuring appropriate follow-up on user issues
- Providing initial technical support for hardware, software, applications, and network problems
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues through system troubleshooting, including setup, installation, and network configurations
- Escalating issues to the IT department when necessary, along with detailed descriptions of the problems
- Training and assisting staff in the effective use of systems and software
- Keeping help desk documentation updated and contributing to the company knowledge base
