Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in drive engineering and commissioning within the metals industry or a related environment; OR
- Masters degree or equivalent in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in drive engineering and commissioning within the metals industry or a related environment
Responsibilities
- Design complex Drive systems (Variable Frequency Drives) that combine hardware and software
- Prepare detailed material specifications and schematics
- Provide recommendations for productivity enhancements, cost savings, and customer satisfaction improvements
- Facilitate technical exchanges and knowledge transfer regarding product applications and system design
- Execute standard work associated with the professional field
- Apply advanced skills to independently address complex challenges that are not outlined by existing protocols
- Identify complex issues and employ problem-solving skills to effectively manage various situations
- Demonstrate expertise in the field of Drive Systems by successfully completing moderately complex assignments
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices within Drive Systems
- Understand and apply the organizations business practices and related challenges
- Travel approximately 60% to diverse client locations across the US, with potential for international travel
