Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with OpenAI APIs (GPT models, automation workflows)
- Familiarity with AI agents (OpenClaw, AutoGPT, LangChain, etc.)
- Solid understanding of API integrations
- Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, or custom)
- Experience in implementing AI safety measures and guardrails (e.g., Nemo or similar)
- Capability to design secure systems (permissions, isolation, limited access)
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in training non-technical team members
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI workflows utilizing OpenAI (GPT models)
- Establish and configure an AI agent system (OpenClaw or similar frameworks)
- Integrate with various business tools (CRM, scheduling, SMS/email systems)
- Implement safety measures and security protocols (permissions, approvals, sandboxing)
- Prevent prompt injections and unsafe automation practices
- Create approval-based workflows that involve human oversight
- Conduct testing on system reliability and edge cases
- Train non-technical team members on system usage and safety practices
Description
We are an expanding pool service company with three locations, striving to integrate AI-driven automation into customer communications, scheduling support, and our internal operations. We are looking for an experienced AI Automation Engineer to design, build, and deploy a secure, production-ready AI system using OpenAI and agent-based tools. This role emphasizes practical implementation with a strong commitment to real-world business workflows, safety measures, and team training. Our workplace is based in Rocklin, CA, and we offer hybrid or remote working options.
