Requirements
Must:
- 3 to 6 years of applicable security or IT experience related to security
- Practical background in securing Microsoft 365 environments, including email security platforms and DLP policies
- Hands-on involvement with EDR/XDR and SIEM platforms from deployment to alert tuning, preferably CrowdStrike or similar
- Experience in configuring and managing next-generation firewalls and VPNs, preferably with Palo Alto and Strata Cloud
- Capable of leading incident response from triage to post-incident review, with clear communication to non-technical stakeholders
- Working knowledge of endpoint hardening in Windows and Linux environments
- Familiarity with Zero Trust and SASE architectures and GRC frameworks like NIST CSF
- Understanding of information security principles relevant to financial institutions, including data protection and NCUA regulations
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, PCNSE, Security+, or GSEC are advantageous
- Self-motivated team player, adept at managing conflicting priorities in a tight-knit IT group
Responsibilities
- Oversee email security systems and ensure DLP policies and data protection controls are up to date within Microsoft 365 and other platforms
- Perform routine assessments of identity and access settings in Entra ID, including managing Conditional Access, PIM, and MFA settings
- Set up and maintain next-generation firewalls, VPNs, and related security controls to ensure a fortified network perimeter
- Ensure seamless integration of the perimeter security with the identity environment
- Manage XDR and SIEM systems from setup to policy configuration, including drafting analytic rules and fine-tuning alerts
- Promote ongoing enhancements in detection capabilities and response quality
- Direct incident response operations through all phases: triage, containment, resolution, and post-incident analysis
- Communicate incident status and risk to management in a clear, non-technical manner
