Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EDI administration, encompassing system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
- In-depth understanding of EDI standards such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT, including various EDI transaction sets (204, 214, 210, 990, 997, 215, 211).
- Proficient in data mapping and translation using EDI tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with EDI communication protocols including AS2, FTP, and SFTP.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations, data security, and privacy standards relevant to EDI.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous experience with COBOL and/or RPG in a midrange iSeries environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder; sponsorship is not available.
- Third-party candidates will not be entertained.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily EDI transaction processing activities.
- Diagnose and resolve EDI processing issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with the implementation team on EDI mapping, validation, and testing processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups, to guarantee system stability and security.
- Manage and facilitate the onboarding process for new trading partners, ensuring prompt and accurate setup of EDI connections.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and trading partners to gather requirements, map data elements, and create EDI transaction sets.
- Develop and maintain EDI maps and translation rules to enable data conversion between internal systems and various EDI formats (e.g., EDIFACT, ANSI X12).
- Monitor and troubleshoot data translation errors, identify underlying causes, and implement corrective measures.
