Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in data engineering, particularly with R, focusing on design, construction, and operation
- At least 5 years of experience programming in R and Python
- Exceptional coding proficiency with widely-used data science tools, especially Python (preferred), R, and Linux/Unix command line with shell scripting
- Familiarity with Notebooks like Jupyter or Apache Zeppelin is preferred; proficiency in R Studio is essential
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) pretrained libraries
- Leadership experience in large-scale Big Data Development Programs, specifically on the Cloudera Platform, along with practical knowledge of various big data technologies, including Spark (using Scala and Java), Hive, and Impala
- Extensive expertise in both Relational and No-SQL databases
- Strong skills in PHP and SQL; knowledge of JavaScript is beneficial
- Experience with Apache Airflow is a plus
- Familiarity with AWS technologies is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure seamless data integration
- Utilize R and Python for data analysis and model building tasks
- Maintain and optimize existing codebases, using your coding skills in various data science tools
- Collaborate with teams using Notebooks for interactive data analysis and visualization
- Lead projects on Big Data Development, ensuring effective use of Cloudera and various tech stacks
- Work with database systems, applying your knowledge of relational and No-SQL technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions on best practices
- Implement workflow orchestration using Airflow for data pipeline management
- Leverage AWS services to enhance data engineering solutions
