Requirements
Must:
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contract obligations
- Strong background in database administration and programming/scripting skills
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain all aspects of database systems
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI, SOX, SSAE16, HIPAA/HITECH
- Experience with various database environments including Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server, Mongo, and Mainframe DB2
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain database systems effectively
- Knowledge of security best practices, particularly Department of Defense Security Technical Guides
- Experience in developing PowerShell scripts and automation for enterprise strategies
- Capable of monitoring security anomalies and ensuring compliance with established standards
Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure IBM Guardium across 80,000 databases
- Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting and maintaining Guardium installations
- Run tests and validate configuration settings while documenting all technical and procedural requirements
- Normalize and monitor operations, utilizing Guardium Central Manager for reporting and alerting
- Conduct advanced testing and fine-tuning of installations to optimize SIEM event ingestion
- Refine reports and alerts, collaborating closely with system administrators to ensure ID consistency
- Participate in 24/7 monitoring and incident response for the Security Operations Center, including on-call support during high-priority incidents
- Develop automation solutions for enhanced monitoring rules and security measures
- Provide recommendations for database security remediation based on best practices
Description
We are seeking a Senior Database Vulnerability & Security Analyst to join our Data Activity Monitoring Team (DAM) at our locations in Minnesota, Georgia, or remotely. Our team is dedicated to deploying Guardium for extensive database protection and monitoring. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with benefits such as competitive pay and flexible working arrangements. Our core work hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, with potential on-call responsibilities during after-hours for urgent incidents.
