Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field - CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, or equivalent certifications preferred - At least three (3) years of experience in a technical support or help desk role, ideally within an educational setting - Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems - Familiarity with common software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite - Knowledge of network fundamentals, including Wi-Fi connectivity and troubleshooting - Experience using remote desktop tools, call management, and helpdesk software - Strong verbal and written communication abilities to convey technical concepts effectively to non-technical users - Aptitude for maintaining accurate documentation of service requests, troubleshooting processes, and resolutions - Capability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift moderately heavy objects such as computers and peripherals

Responsibilities

- Serve as the initial point of contact for technical support requests from staff and students - Respond to incoming calls, helpdesk tickets, and remote support inquiries with timeliness and courtesy - Utilize phone and remote assistance tools to efficiently diagnose and resolve Level 1/1.5 support issues - Address technical issues including password resets, account lockouts, and basic software troubleshooting - Diagnose and resolve IT support issues while ensuring prompt resolution or appropriate escalation - Document issues accurately and escalate complex problems to Level 2 or specialized support teams - Maintain detailed and precise records of support requests and troubleshooting steps in the helpdesk system - Provide users with clear instructions and training on common technical challenges - Assist in monitoring district-wide IT systems and notify relevant teams of detected issues - Collaborate with other IT teams to share insights and improve support processes - Uphold a high standard of customer service and professionalism in interactions with all users - Meet key performance metrics and objectives focused on service efficiency and customer engagement - Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
