Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT or application support, preferably with vendor-built products or healthcare applications
- Proficient understanding of Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Familiarity with Active Directory/LDAP, TCPIP, Microsoft Office applications, Internet, Intranet, SSL encryption
- Preferred experience with multi-tiered thin client, Citrix applications, server databases, report servers, SAN data storage, and client/server architectures
- Experience with HTML, SQL, UNIX, InterSystems Cache, and relational database concepts is a plus
- Knowledge of HL7 protocol and interface engine design is preferred
- Ability to create or maintain scripts for FTP processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to effectively manage various tasks and projects
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality
- Knowledge of programming principles and database structures is advantageous
- Capability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work off-hours, evenings, weekends, or during planned downtimes for system maintenance or upgrades
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all operational elements for applications as the primary system administrator
- Provide backup support for additional systems as required
- Act as the gatekeeper for any modifications, enhancements, or changes to assigned applications
- Perform daily analytical and technical tasks including monitoring application logs and responding to alerts
- Refresh test environments and schedule planned downtimes
- Coordinate release and patch upgrades for applications
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of technical components needed by assigned applications
- Collaborate closely with IT Directors, Analysts, and Technical teams to deliver Tier 3 support for Powers Health applications
- Serve as a liaison between the Technical Services team and functional end users
- Oversee system implementation activities such as installations, upgrades, and testing
