Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, ideally in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited institution, coupled with a minimum of seven (7) years of pertinent experience.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following areas is essential:
- Automation and Control systems
- Protective Relay programming and commissioning
- PLC applications for switchgear
- Experience in developing, integrating, installing, and commissioning industrial control systems utilizing PLC and HMI solutions.
- Background in PLC logic and HMI programming. Familiarity with software from Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, and ABB is advantageous.
- Knowledge of common industrial protocols, including Modbus (RTU and TCP/IP), IEC61850, DNP3, and Profibus.
- A solid understanding of three-phase power is required.
- Experience with configuring, testing, and commissioning relays. Familiarity with SEL, GE, and Siemens microprocessor relays is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Achieve proficiency in our Powell Automation Division (PAD) solutions and offerings.
- Analyze and interpret client specifications to generate project Functional Design documents, drawings, and testing documentation aligned with project requirements and Powell's standard procedures.
- Create relay configuration files using various manufacturers such as SEL, GE, Siemens, and Beckwith.
- Design and set up SCADA systems using platforms like WonderWare InTouch, Allen Bradley Factory Talk, Copa-Data Zenon, Siemens WinCC, and/or SEL RTAC AcSELerator Diagram Builder.
- Utilize standard industrial communication protocols like Modbus (RTU and TCP/IP), IEC61850, DNP 3.0, etc.
- Develop electrical system monitoring and control solutions based on PLC.
- Participate in and prepare documentation for factory and on-site acceptance testing (FAT and SAT), while also engaging in start-up and commissioning activities as needed.
- Ensure adherence to the company's Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures in all Site Services activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders, including post-sales support.
