Field Service Engineer - Automation Solutions

- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering - Over 5 years of experience as a field service engineer in the Automation sector - Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, IEC61850, and DNP 3.0 - Proficient in SCADA systems, including WonderWare InTouch, Allen Bradley Factory Talk, Copa-Data Zenon, Siemens WinCC, and/or SEL RTAC HMI - Experience with configuration files from manufacturers like SEL, GE, Siemens, and Beckwith - Solid understanding of advanced electrical manufacturing standards & systems, including factory testing and NETA MTS & ATS standards - Knowledge of ANSI IEEE C37 standards relevant to breakers and switchgear design and manufacturing - Familiarity with ANSI IEEE device function numbers and understand electrical conductor ampacity in switchgear applications - Proficient in basic electrical theory, control circuits, and advanced AC and DC theory - Experience in distribution protective relay testing, hi-pot testing, and breaker function testing - Ability to produce detailed test reports and project summaries while explaining system anomalies - Proficient in computer applications, including Oracle, MS Outlook, Power DB, Word, and Excel - Skilled in using testing equipment like multi-meters and relay test sets - Familiarity with various hand tools and mechanical adaptability - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Exceptional problem-solving abilities - Willingness to participate in training sessions - Ability to travel up to 70% of the year - Capability to read and interpret plan sets and one-line diagrams - Effective communication with customers regarding project execution plans
