Requirements

Must:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a comparable qualification from an accredited institution. - A foundational knowledge of at least one of the following areas: - Automation and Control Systems - Power Systems - Protective Relaying - Prior experience in automation, PLC control systems, or protective relaying is advantageous. - Strong customer service orientation. - Ability to work effectively both in a collaborative team environment and independently. Must be adaptable to changes, self-motivated, innovative, and committed to making an impact. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. - Experience in generating technical documents and reports. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

As a member of our Powell Automation Division (PAD), you will: - Gain expertise in PAD solutions and offerings. - Review and analyze client specifications to create project Functional Designs, drawings, and test documentation that align with project requirements and Powell’s standards. - Develop relay configuration files utilizing various manufacturers, including SEL, GE, Siemens, and Beckwith. - Design and configure SCADA systems using software such as WonderWare InTouch, Allen Bradley Factory Talk, Copa-Data Zenon, Siemens WinCC, and/or SEL RTAC HMI. - Leverage common industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus TCP/IP, IEC61850, and DNP 3.0. - Create PLC-based electrical system monitoring and control solutions. - Engage in and develop documentation for factory and on-site acceptance testing (FAT and SAT), in addition to performing start-up and commissioning activities as needed. - Ensure adherence to the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures in all aspects of Site Services. - Provide technical support to both internal and external stakeholders, including after-sales assistance.
