Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of experience in Information Security or related support roles
- Exceptional customer service abilities with a capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a customer-centric environment
- Basic knowledge of Windows desktop and laptop systems
- Fundamental understanding of VPN connections
- Familiarity with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and discussions regarding them with team members
- Strong organizational skills are essential
- Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication
- Understanding of IT monitoring technologies and methods
- Solid grasp of IT systems, along with strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proven technical knowledge of perimeter security devices and their configurations
- Ability to evaluate problems and apply analytical reasoning and sound judgment
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and logs daily using various tools including SolarWinds, Central Log, and Active Directory Changes
- Manage incoming phone calls in the Security Operations Center (SOC) while ensuring high-quality customer service
- Handle helpdesk tickets assigned to the security team, maintaining service excellence
- Conduct regular reviews of security devices and configurations on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Implement logical access reviews on a scheduled basis (daily, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual)
- Utilize our governance risk and compliance platform for quarterly vulnerability reporting and coordinate with Information Systems teams for security patching
- Assist with third-party security risk evaluations and generate reports
- Support data collection for internal and external auditors
- Assess and propose enhancements to our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution
- Document security incidents as part of the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT)
- Review security policies to ensure compliance with annual guidelines and create new policies where necessary
