Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 within an enterprise setting.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO) application, and Organizational Unit (OU) structures.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and their interaction with Domain Controllers.
- High-level analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, particularly concerning security permissions.
- Strong communication skills to connect intricate IT requirements with laboratory business objectives.
- Capability to adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) without deviation.
- Preferred: Experience with basic scripting (PowerShell/Batch) for task automation such as machine renaming or OU movements.
- Preferred: Background in GLP, GMP, or other highly regulated laboratory environments.
- Preferred: Understanding of SID history and credential caching considerations during domain migrations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up Windows 10/11 workstations and laboratory applications for domain migration.
- Manage and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP settings for seamless transitions between domain controllers.
- Oversee the management of BitLocker recovery keys and BIOS configurations to prevent lockouts during boot-level changes.
- Implement and uphold data integrity protocols in strict compliance with GLP standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Validation team to ensure all migrated systems remain validated post-transition.
- Provide exemplary support to non-technical staff, clearly explaining technical updates with patience.
- Document and communicate any migration challenges to the LOTS team and project leadership for swift resolution.
