Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or Computer Science plus 2 years of relevant experience required
- Alternatively, a Masters degree in a related field plus 1 year of relevant experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation, familiar with libraries like pandas and NumPy
- Advanced SQL skills for managing and querying large, complex datasets
- Proven experience in data parsing, creating automation scripts, and using programmatic APIs
- Knowledge of various and diverse data structures such as JSON, XML, images, and Google Sheets
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, GCP, and AWS
- Comfortable using command line interface
- Knowledge of different database structures including relational and non-relational databases preferred
- Experience with frontend solutions like Streamlit or R Shiny for building simple data applications or dashboards preferred
- Understanding of version control systems like Git and CI/CD methodologies preferred
- Experience with advanced analytic techniques such as Machine Learning, optimization, or simulation preferred
- Previous experience in life sciences, healthcare, or diagnostics industry is a plus
Responsibilities
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of Global Operations technology and data frameworks to support core business goals
- Combine complex and varied data sources to uncover deeper insights into company operations, collaborating across departments as necessary
- Identify prospects for data acquisition, and design and implement data collection systems
- Create integrated data pipelines that provide strategic guidance for production teams and enhance quality improvement efforts
- Assist in the development and execution of data analytics and data science initiatives to drive meaningful insights
- Develop and automate protocols for data access and processing to optimize information use
- Foster a culture of high-quality analytics by establishing standards for dashboard design, thorough documentation, and effective communication with stakeholders
- Display a strong commitment to enhancing our analytics strategy through innovative problem-solving
- Clearly and effectively communicate complex concepts adhering to best practices in software engineering
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management to support business objectives
- Clarify project requirements, propose iterative solutions, and relay findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to define, document, and govern essential business metrics, ensuring consistency across all reporting metrics
- Define business logic and requirements for data pipelines while collaborating with data engineers to maintain a dependable foundation for our analytics
- Proactively pinpoint key questions and deliver insights that impact strategic decisions
- Design, develop, and manage key business intelligence dashboards to ensure they offer accurate, actionable insights for decision-making
- Oversee the lifecycle of existing analytical tools, conducting ongoing maintenance and enhancements based on stakeholder feedback and evolving priorities
