Requirements
Must:
- I require proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated enterprise networks spanning both physical and virtual environments.
- Strong expertise in network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, switching technologies like Ethernet, and telecommunication systems such as VoIP and QoS is essential.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco products (routers, switches, ASA firewalls), Juniper devices, Meraki solutions, and network management tools like SolarWinds or PRTG is vital.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, along with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere) and containerization concepts is expected.
- I seek knowledge of network security principles, including encryption standards (SSL/TLS), SSO integrations, LDAP/Active Directory management, vulnerability assessment tools, and high availability configurations.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNP/CCIE (Cisco), JNCIE (Juniper), or equivalent qualifications, are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities
- You will design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, MPLS, and VPN networks to support our business operations.
- I expect you to configure and manage Cisco ASA, Juniper routers, Arista, and other network hardware to enhance performance and security.
- Your role will include implementing and overseeing network protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS to ensure reliable data transmission.
- You will manage network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, encryption protocols, and PKI solutions such as Cisco ISE.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments, monitoring network health using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG, and performing regular system updates will be part of your duties.
- Supporting data center infrastructure, including SANs, NAS systems, and virtualization platforms, will be essential.
- You will collaborate with development teams to integrate APIs, manage cloud security, and support DevOps initiatives.
- Maintaining documentation of network architecture, configurations, policies, and procedures in line with ITIL best practices is expected.
