Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in the field
- Proven experience with C++ and C# desktop applications, as well as Object-Oriented Programming
- Ability to collaborate in a shared code repository
- Familiarity with testing frameworks or tools
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10 - 15%)
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English (both verbal and written)
Responsibilities
- Assist in software development initiatives primarily for the Thin Films Technology and Automotive R&D teams to enhance process control and materials characterization
- Revise capabilities to facilitate interaction with remote databases
- Update essential libraries and implementations for streamlined deployment and integration
- Create software testing and deployment processes for new and existing applications and libraries
- Develop and assist with software installation procedures
- Explore opportunities for collaboration between regional and international R&D and production processes
- Diagnose and create test modules for application and library deployment
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager
- Comply with NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
- Follow EH&S policies at Northwood and other locations
