Requirements

Must:
We seek someone with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT technologies or the electronics sector, preferably in a field or healthcare service environment. Experience with patient monitoring systems, telemetry units, ventilators, and defibrillators is highly preferred. You should possess skills in network configuration and troubleshooting and have obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or be willing to achieve it within 6 months of starting your employment. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics, biomedical, or a related field, or a suitable combination of education and experience is required. You must be able to meet the physical, cognitive, and environmental demands of this Field Service position, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage customer relationships by effectively employing your technical knowledge to install, implement, service, test, and troubleshoot intricate solutions on IT networks to ensure high-quality delivery of real-time patient data requirements. You will provide technical recommendations tailored to customer needs and facilitate the transition toward a customer-focused service model, promoting ongoing improvements in implementation methodology and service offerings. Collaboration with a diverse team of internal and external resources—including clinical, sales, and service partners—is essential. You will also oversee project resources and tasks, enabling your team to concentrate on customer deliverables. Additionally, you will carry out all administrative tasks within established regulatory requirements, such as timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, and other relevant paperwork. Your responsibilities will also include installing complex systems comprising IT infrastructure and patient monitoring equipment and diagnosing and resolving electronic, networking, and mechanical issues. Travel within our designated areas is required, with an average daily driving time of 1-4 hours, occasionally exceeding 50%. Overnight travel by air or train may also be necessary.

Description

We believe in the power of collaboration, which is why our office-based teams work on-site at least three days a week. For field roles, you will primarily work outside the company’s main facilities, typically at customer or supplier locations. As a health technology leader, we are dedicated to ensuring that every individual has access to quality healthcare. This position offers competitive hourly pay, with rates varying by location in Maryland ($34.45 to $55.13) and Washington, D.C. ($36.75 to $58.80), along with additional benefits, including incentive bonuses, on-call pay, and comprehensive benefits programs. To qualify for this position, you must have U.S. work authorization and reside or be able to commute to the Baltimore, MD, and Washington, D.C. areas. Please note that this requisition will remain open for 45 days or until we find a suitable candidate, so we encourage you to apply promptly. Philips is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and maintains a drug-free workplace.
