Applicants should also demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot issues to their root cause and recommend effective corrective measures. Experience in creating software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents is expected, along with good team spirit, excellent communication skills, and training abilities.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Automation Engineer on our dynamic engineering team, you will be instrumental in enhancing manufacturing information systems to boost manufacturing success rates and maintain zero downtime. Your contributions toward team objectives will be vital in completing essential projects. You will manage your own time effectively to meet set targets, oversee the completion of periodic reviews, and validation master plans for the automation engineering program. You will also handle routine and preventive maintenance work to ensure equipment and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Your role includes generating and developing standard operating procedures and system support, analyzing operational process problems, and managing change control. Moreover, you will provide 24/7 support for our automation systems and assist with capital and non-capital projects, mentor junior staff, and communicate progress effectively with your peers.
Description
To thrive in this role, you should be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities. The position may require physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, bending, and conducting test runs. Flexibility regarding work hours is necessary, including the ability to support operations during non-working hours, extended hours, holidays, and weekends as needed. Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is a plus, specifically a background in cGMP regulations and practical applications to control systems. Proficiency in one programming language and an understanding of network infrastructure, Windows servers, and virtualization will be advantageous. In addition, technical troubleshooting skills within tight timelines and familiarity with site systems like Aveeva PI, Rockwell PLCs, Factory Talk View, and Microsoft SQL Server are preferred. Our work location is on-site, and we offer a competitive annual base salary ranging from $80,300 to $133,900, along with a performance plan that includes a bonus target of 10% of your base salary. We provide comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid leave, and health coverage. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs.
