Site Reliability Engineer II

- Develop, implement, and sustain observability tools to monitor both cloud and on-premises systems - Create dashboards, alerts, and reports to assess system health, performance, and availability - Utilize observability tools proactively to discover opportunities for improvement - Examine metrics and logs to recognize trends, avert potential issues, and enhance system performance - Collaborate with FinOps teams to oversee resource usage and guarantee cost-effective operations in cloud environments - Assist in the lifecycle management of cloud and on-premises servers, including provisioning, patching, configuration, and decommissioning - Identify and rectify server-related issues, ensuring minimal system downtime and adherence to security policies - Schedule, monitor, and handle batch processes to secure timely execution of critical tasks - Detect and resolve batch failures or delays in coordination with relevant teams - Optimize batch jobs for better performance and resource efficiency - Supervise on-site and remote data center operations, ensuring the proper functioning of hardware, power, cooling, and network infrastructure - Liaise with vendors and service providers for hardware maintenance, replacements, and upgrades - Keep an accurate inventory of data center assets ensuring compliance with organizational standards - Engage in on-call rotations to respond to system incidents and outages promptly - Perform root cause analyses and implement solutions to prevent issue recurrence - Document and communicate incident resolution procedures to stakeholders - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Networking, and Application Development, to maintain system integrations - Maintain and create thorough documentation for configurations, processes, and incident resolutions - Offer training and support to team members and other departments
