Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing and delivering mobile applications using React Native and/or Expo
- Proven ability to deploy applications to both iOS and Android platforms
- Strong expertise in TypeScript programming
- Practical experience with server-state management libraries, such as TanStack React Query or similar
- Familiarity with camera, media, or scanning APIs in mobile app development
- Knowledge of native tools, including Xcode (for signing, archiving, and debugging) and Android Studio
- Experience in effectively utilizing AI coding assistants in a production environment (beyond simple prompting)
- Experience integrating AI/ML APIs, particularly vision-based models (preferred)
- Knowledge of developing or expanding Expo native modules (Swift/Kotlin bridging) (preferred)
- Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device communication (preferred)
- Understanding of OAuth2/authentication processes (e.g., Auth0) within mobile applications (preferred)
- Background in creating offline-capable or sync-intensive applications (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and deploy top-notch mobile features for iOS and Android from a unified TypeScript codebase
- Create camera-driven workflows, including video scanning, barcode/QR code capture, and image recognition for products
- Implement offline-first architecture featuring local caching (AsyncStorage) and background synchronization
- Connect with backend services through REST APIs (Backend-for-Frontend approach) and various third-party SDKs
- Collaborate on integrations involving authentication (Auth0), AI vision APIs, and BLE label printers
- Supervise and resolve issues related to native build pipelines using Expo prebuild, Xcode archives, EAS Build, and CocoaPods
- Partner with product and design teams to craft intuitive and high-performance user experiences
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to expedite development while ensuring top code quality
