Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of proven experience in software engineering and DevOps
- 7+ years in an Agile/Scrum software development context
- Proficient in managing Continuous Integration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, or Bamboo
- Experienced with cloud infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Docker, Podman, and Helm
- Knowledgeable in integrating Static Application Security Testing (SAST) using tools like Checkmarx
- Skilled in conducting code quality scans with Sonarqube and other solutions
- Familiar with automated testing frameworks for unit, integration, and system testing
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong experience in cloud engineering, particularly with Azure and AWS
- Expertise in Terraform, Ansible, or Chef for infrastructure automation
- Well-versed in Docker and Kubernetes with platforms such as AWS ECS and EKS
- Proficient in programming languages including Python and C++
- Knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools like Datadog
- Experienced with SQL databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases such as AWS DynamoDB and MongoDB, and graph databases like Neo4J and AWS Neptune
- Familiar with project management tools and methodologies including Jira, Agile, Scrum, or Kanban
- Proficient in cross-platform scripting languages and build tools (Python, ANT, Artifactory, Groovy, MS Build, NuGet)
- Proficient in OOP software development using C# or similar languages
- Ability to design scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of deployment strategies utilizing Docker for containerization
- Experience with pair programming using GitHub Copilot
- Strong communication skills for explaining protocols, processes, and cloud architecture to teams and management.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated resource deployment in cloud environments, managing medium to high complexity projects
- Actively develop and support build and release automation pipelines
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD processes while automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration tasks
- Collaborate closely with development teams for smooth integration and deployment
- Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers in their development
- Identify and address system and process risks, recommending and implementing improvements
- Close gaps and support the automation demands of continuous integration and deployment
- Create and monitor metrics and dashboards to assess DevOps adoption and maturity
- Utilize expertise in Docker/Containerization and Kubernetes for efficient deployment
- Contribute to architectural discussions regarding technology controls in a DevOps/Cloud setting
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and other engineering teams for software and technology component development
- Promote the adoption of a DevSecOps culture across Agile product delivery teams
- Work within an Agile/Scrum framework for task planning, estimation, and completion
- Coordinate with Agile Delivery Process teams on Azure DevOps (ADO) configurations for Agile ceremonies
- Engage in various technology Centers of Excellence to promote DevSecOps methodologies
- Collaborate with development and support teams to enhance deployment, provisioning, integration workflows, Stability of environments, and identify improvement areas
- Contribute to the evaluation and integration of new technologies, vendor packages, and tools
- Ensure compliance with performance, security, availability, and recoverability standards and provide monitoring recommendations for tasks of varying complexity.
