Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise data strategy
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar Microsoft data platforms (Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Power BI)
- Proficiency in designing logical and conceptual data models
- Experience with both structured and unstructured data architectures
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
- Familiarity with AI/ML data requirements and preparation patterns
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical direction without direct authority
Responsibilities
- Define and uphold the enterprise data architecture strategy in line with business and AI objectives
- Design logical data models that cater to both structured and unstructured data domains
- Architect solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory, OneLake, Synapse integration)
- Establish data architecture standards, patterns, and governance frameworks throughout the organization
- Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
- Lead the integration of AI/ML capabilities into the enterprise data ecosystem
- Define strategies for data classification, lineage, and metadata management
- Provide architectural oversight for data ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
- Work with security teams to ensure data privacy, compliance, and access controls
- Serve as a thought leader on contemporary data architecture trends, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem
